Introducing The Holistic Health Happy Hour!
...donation based virtual happy hours for your holistic health questions!
It’s officially been a YEAR since I started offering Ayurveda Health Consultations, can you believe it? I like to use big milestones like this to reflect on what has been going well, and what could be going better. To share a little bit of my thought process with you…
What’s Been Going Well
Always start with the positive, yes?
—I have LOVED sharing the wisdom of Ayurveda with others! If people go through the effort of booking a consultation and going through the Wellness Questionnaire, they are usually pretty committed to learning and putting into place some of the lifestyle and food suggestions we talk about. It’s been magical seeing Ayurveda being sprinkled into the world!
—Having repeat clients and seeing their growth and setbacks month to month in real time and working alongside them to figure out the kinks has been SUCH a joy.
—Living Ayurveda in my own life and using this experience when working with clients is game changing. Not only am I living in an atmosphere of health, but I can truly speak from a lived experience when helping clients through their struggle points.
What Could Be Going Better
For this part, I was able to gather feedback from clients (and we’ll say potential clients!) on what is holding them back from booking an Ayurveda Health Consultation or if they do, what holds them back from consistent Check-Ins. Here’s the highlights:
—The Wellness Questionnaire that is sent upon booking a session is too long, too intimate, and too much effort. This step seems to prevent many people from moving forward.
—For those that get past the Wellness Questionnaire and move on to have a session, cost can be preventative. Even though I pride myself on offering consultations and check-ins that are very much on the lower side of the going industry rate, I can absolutely understand how this would prevent people from moving forward or being consistent.
—The time commitment feels intense. While this isn’t written in stone, most of the consultations and check-ins I do are around an hour. On a monthly basis, this can feel overwhelming to schedule once the rest of life starts sneaking in there!
What This Means Going Forward
Using this intel, I really sat down and brainstormed how I can make Ayurveda support a regular part of my client’s (and potential clients!) lives, while being sensitive to things that feel tricky for them. I decided that while I will still keep the Ayurveda Health Consultations and the 6 month packages for those who want them, I will also offer a new service that feels more aligned with the feedback I’ve received.
Introducing The Holistic Health Happy Hours
Each month, I’ll be offering virtual donation based Holistic Health Happy Hours. These are intended to be very casual (and fun!) mini-Ayurveda Health Counseling sessions, where you can come with a specific health question and we will discuss possible ways to address the issue, holistically!
This will differ from the traditional Ayurveda Health Counseling in the following ways:
—No paperwork! You don’t have to fill out a Wellness Questionnaire prior to the session.
—There will be set times each month that these are offered, and you can choose to sign up for one of those slots (i.e. no stress of making/rescheduling an appointment. Simply sign up if it works for you, if it doesn’t, wait for one that does.)
—It’s less of a time commitment, time slots are 30 minutes and if you are done before then we can end early!
—Rather than focus on the whole picture of your holistic health, you can come with a specific current concern and we will focus our conversation around that.
—There is not a set cost. These are donation based, so you can pay whatever you are comfortable paying each time.
It’s my hope that these Holistic Health Happy Hours will make Ayurveda more accessible to anyone who truly wants to implement it into their lives by taking away some major barriers.
I think of these Holistic Health Happy Hours as Ayurveda Health Counseling Light! These regular check-ins help hold you accountable with your health habits, and also provide a place to brainstorm whenever you’re feeling stuck. Plus, I’m a really good cheerleader:-)
There’s no commitment—you can come once, or every month! Just pick the date that works best for you, and I’ll send you a calendar invite and Zoom link. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!
If you’d like to try out a Holistic Health Happy Hour, the May dates are currently live right here. Bring your question and a cup of tea and we’ll work on self-care, together!
